Overview
Ford is unleashing its electric pony for some off-road fun with the 2025 Mustang Mach-E Rally. This isn't just a styling package; it's a purpose-built EV designed to tackle tarmac and gravel tracks with equal gusto. As the first rally-inspired EV from the blue oval, it blends the potent dual-motor performance of the GT with a lifted suspension and rugged looks. It carves out a unique niche in the electric crossover market, promising a thrilling driving experience no matter the surface. Pricing for this specialized model starts at $61,890.
What's New for 2025?
The Rally trim is the big news for the Mustang Mach-E lineup, arriving as a completely new model for 2024 and continuing into 2025. It’s a significant evolution from the road-focused GT, boasting a factory-lifted suspension for an extra inch of ground clearance, specially tuned MagneRide shocks, and protective shielding for the motors. The headline feature is the exclusive RallySport Drive Mode, engineered to allow more slip angle for controlled, grin-inducing drifts on loose surfaces. It's a Mach-E built specifically for having a blast on unpaved backroads.
Design & Exterior
The Mach-E Rally looks the business, screaming performance from every angle. It stands apart with aggressive styling, featuring gloss white 19-inch rally-style alloy wheels shod in grippy all-season tires. A unique front fascia incorporates rally-inspired fog lights, while a dramatic rear spoiler, reminiscent of the legendary Focus RS, adds serious downforce and visual flair. Underbody shielding and a black-painted steel roof complete the rugged aesthetic. The Rally measures 187 inches long, 74.1 inches wide, and stands 64.9 inches tall, giving it a purposeful and planted stance.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Inside, the Rally builds on the GT’s cabin with unique, performance-oriented touches. You’re greeted by distinctive Ford Performance seats with "Rally" debossed into the surface and gloss white accents on the dash, steering wheel, and seat stitching. The tech is centered around the massive 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen running SYNC 4A with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paired with a 10.2-inch digital driver display. Practicality isn't forgotten, offering 29.7 ft³ of trunk space, expanding to 59.7 ft³ with seats down, plus a handy 4.7 ft³ frunk.
Performance & Driving Experience
This thing is properly quick. The dual PMSM motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain kicks out a combined 480 horsepower and a massive 701 lb-ft of torque, launching the Rally from 0-60 mph in a blistering 3.4 seconds. But the magic happens with the RallySport drive mode, which recalibrates the powertrain for aggressive off-road driving, allowing for more yaw and easier slides. The specially tuned MagneRide suspension soaks up bumps on rough terrain while keeping the car sharp and responsive on the pavement, delivering a uniquely versatile and thrilling driving experience.
Range, Battery & Charging
The Rally is powered by a 91 kWh usable battery pack, delivering a Green Cars Compare calculated real-world range of about 260 miles, with an efficiency of 2.86 mi/kWh. For charging, its 400V architecture supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, enabling a 10-80% top-up in around 40 minutes. At home, the standard 11 kW on-board AC charger can replenish the battery overnight. It features a CCS Type 1 port, and Ford provides access to an adapter for use with the growing NACS (Tesla) charging network.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Safety is a strong suit, with the Mustang Mach-E platform earning a top 5-Star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. The Rally comes standard with Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite of driver aids, which includes features like pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist. For relaxed highway cruising, the Mach-E Rally is also equipped with Ford's BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology, which comes with a complimentary trial period before requiring a subscription.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
Ford backs the Mustang Mach-E Rally with a comprehensive warranty package. This includes a 3-year/36,000-mile basic bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty covering the electric motors. Most importantly for an EV, the high-voltage battery components are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, with a guarantee that the pack will retain at least 70% of its original capacity during that period. Unlike some rivals, Ford does not include complimentary scheduled maintenance with the purchase.
