Overview
Lucid is crashing the luxury electric SUV party with the all-new Gravity, and the Touring trim is set to be the sweet spot in the range. It packages the brand’s mind-bending tech and performance into a stunning, family-friendly vehicle. Positioned to take on rivals like the Tesla Model X and Mercedes EQS SUV, the Gravity Touring blends jaw-dropping design with serious practicality. With an estimated starting price of €99,900 in Europe, it offers a compelling mix of hyper-efficient engineering, a seriously plush cabin, and thrilling performance for the discerning EV buyer.
What's New for 2025?
Everything is new! The 2025 Gravity is Lucid’s first-ever SUV, launching as a completely fresh model. Built on Lucid’s innovative LEAP (Lucid Electric Advanced Platform), it translates the groundbreaking technology from the Air sedan into a more versatile three-row SUV package. For 2025, it introduces Lucid's next-generation UX 3.0 software, featuring a redesigned interface for its massive cockpit displays. This inaugural model establishes a new benchmark for space, luxury, and efficiency in the electric SUV segment, making it one of the most anticipated new vehicles of the year.
Design & Exterior
The Gravity Touring is a proper head-turner, looking like a spaceship that’s been stretched into an SUV. It borrows the sleek, aerodynamic DNA of the Air sedan, resulting in a slippery and elegant profile that defies its size. The front features Lucid’s signature Micro Lens Array headlights, giving it an unmistakable presence. Measuring 5035 mm long, 2000 mm wide, and 1658 mm tall, it has massive road presence without looking bulky. The Touring trim boasts clean lines, flush door handles, and unique alloy wheels that complete its futuristic, high-end aesthetic.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Step inside and you're greeted by the stunning "Clearview Cockpit" with its curved 34-inch 6K display, which seems to float above the dashboard. The cabin feels incredibly airy and spacious, with premium materials and impeccable build quality throughout. It offers flexible seating for five or seven passengers. Cargo space is simply cavernous; you get a massive 1433 litres in the boot, which expands to a van-like 3398 litres with the seats folded. Plus, there's a handy 230-litre frunk up front for extra luggage or charging cables.
Performance & Driving Experience
Don't let the family-hauler looks fool you; the Gravity Touring is an absolute rocket. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, featuring a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor on each axle, unleashes a colossal 418 kW and 1100 Nm of torque. That's enough to launch this big SUV from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 217 km/h. Expect a serene and comfortable ride thanks to an advanced air suspension system, paired with shockingly agile handling for a vehicle of its size, making it both a relaxing cruiser and a thrilling drive.
Range, Battery & Charging
Lucid’s obsession with efficiency continues here. The Touring trim is equipped with an 84.5 kWh usable battery pack, delivering a Green Cars Compare calculated real-world range of around 473 km. Its energy consumption is an impressive 5.6 km/kWh. Thanks to its 900V architecture and CCS Type 2 port, charging is lightning-fast, hitting a peak of 250 kW on a DC fast charger. At home, the standard 22 kW AC on-board charger is a class-leader. The system also supports bi-directional charging, allowing you to power devices or even your home.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
While an official Euro NCAP safety rating is still pending, the Gravity Touring is expected to be exceptionally safe, packed with advanced technology. It comes equipped with Lucid's "DreamDrive" suite of driver-assistance systems. This includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a comprehensive 360-degree camera system. An optional "DreamDrive Pro" package adds more sensors, including LiDAR, for even more advanced semi-autonomous driving capabilities, making long journeys safer and less stressful for the driver.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
Lucid provides a comprehensive warranty package for European owners, ensuring peace of mind. The basic vehicle is covered for 4 years or 80,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. The all-important battery and drivetrain are protected for a longer period of 8 years or 160,000 kilometres. This battery warranty also includes a degradation guarantee, ensuring it will retain at least 70% of its original capacity during the coverage period. This robust coverage reflects the brand's confidence in its advanced engineering and long-term reliability.
