Overview
The 2025 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD solidifies its place as the go-to electric saloon for those craving a brilliant blend of performance, tech, and continent-crossing range. This ‘Highland’ refresh brings a welcome dose of refinement and style, making an already class-leading package even more compelling. It’s the sweet spot in the Model 3 lineup, offering punchy all-wheel-drive grip without the firm ride of the Performance version. In the European pre-owned market, this highly sought-after configuration can be found for around €42,900, representing fantastic value for a cutting-edge EV.
What's New for 2025?
The big news is the ‘Highland’ refresh, which completely overhauls the car's vibe. Up front, you get a sleeker, more aggressive face with slim new headlights. The cabin is now whisper-quiet thanks to acoustic glass all around. Inside, a new wraparound design with customisable ambient lighting feels properly premium. Tesla has controversially binned the indicator and gear selector stalks, moving these functions to steering wheel buttons and the main touchscreen. A new 8-inch screen for rear passengers also adds a touch of luxury for those in the back.
Design & Exterior
This isn’t just a facelift; the Model 3 now looks properly sharp. The redesigned front and rear, featuring striking C-shaped tail lights, contribute to a super-slippery drag coefficient, boosting efficiency. Its athletic stance is unmistakable, measuring 4720 mm in length, 1849 mm in width, and a low-slung 1440 mm in height. The Long Range trim gets stylish 18-inch Photon wheels as standard, with optional 19-inch Novas available for those wanting a bit more kerb appeal. The overall look is cleaner, more modern, and undeniably premium.
Interior, Tech & Cargo
Step inside and the minimalist cabin feels more upmarket than ever. Improved materials and a new fabric-trimmed dash create a genuinely premium atmosphere. It’s practical, too, with a massive 594-litre boot that expands to 977 litres with the seats folded. Don’t forget the handy 88-litre frunk up front for charging cables or shopping. The crisp 15.4-inch central screen controls everything, as there’s no traditional driver’s display or Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Instead, Tesla’s slick native infotainment system handles all your navigation and media needs with ease.
Performance & Driving Experience
This thing properly shifts. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, with an induction motor at the front and a permanent magnet motor at the rear, serves up a combined 366 kW and 493 Nm of torque. That’s enough to launch it from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 4.4 seconds. The ‘Highland’ refresh brings a much-improved ride, soaking up bumps far better than its predecessor. Yet, it still retains that trademark go-kart handling, with sharp steering and immense grip. The powerful regenerative braking allows for easy one-pedal driving in most situations.
Range, Battery & Charging
The Long Range lives up to its name. Its usable 75 kWh battery pack delivers a brilliant real-world range of 555 km, as calculated by Green Cars Compare, with an impressive efficiency of 7.4 km/kWh. When it’s time to plug in, the standard 11 kW on-board AC charger is perfect for overnight top-ups. Out on the road, its 400V architecture and CCS Type 2 port can handle blazing-fast DC charging speeds of up to 250 kW, adding hundreds of kilometres of range in the time it takes to grab a coffee.
Safety & Driver-Assistance Features
Safety is a top priority, backed by a full 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Every Model 3 comes equipped with Tesla's standard Autopilot system, which includes adaptive cruise control and an excellent lane-keeping assist feature that feels incredibly natural on the motorway. For those wanting more, the optional Enhanced Autopilot adds Navigate on Autopilot and Auto Lane Change. The top-tier Full Self-Driving Capability package can be purchased to unlock traffic light and stop sign control, though it still requires full driver attention at all times.
Warranty & Maintenance Coverage
Tesla’s warranty package offers solid peace of mind for European owners. You get a basic vehicle warranty covering 4 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first. Crucially, the battery and drive unit are covered for an impressive 8 years or 192,000 km, with a guarantee of at least 70% battery capacity retention. With minimal scheduled maintenance required and the benefit of over-the-air software updates that continuously improve the car, ownership is designed to be refreshingly simple and hassle-free, keeping running costs low and reliability high.
