Video Summary

The all-new Honda Prologue is Honda’s first all-electric crossover and it was built in partnership with GM.

Under the skin, it’s essentially a Chevy Blazer EV, but Honda made it very Honda.

Sales of the Prologue started in mid-2024 and Honda has already sold around 34,000.

The Prologue has been more popular than the Chevy it's based on by more than 10,000 units.

The Prologue is a handsome, modern-looking vehicle that doesn’t look weird.

This EV has actual door pulls, simple interior, physical climate controls, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The total price of the loaded all-wheel drive Elite trim with Snowfall Pearl paint is $59,750. After the full $7,500 tax credit, the effective price is $52,250.

The Prologue comes with an 85-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery providing up to 273 miles of range.

It is powered by two electric motors, providing 288 horsepower and 333-pound feet of torque.

The peak charging rate is 150 kilowatts, which can take the battery from 20% to 80% in about 35 minutes.

The Prologue has a ground clearance of 7.9 inches, more than even Honda’s own off-road truck.

It has no front trunk (frunk); all electronics are packed up front, where Honda could have easily added something resembling a frunk.

In the back, there is up to 57.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity with the seats folded flat.

Second row seating is flat with plenty of leg room. Passengers also have A/C ports and an AC power socket as well as two USB Cs.

Traditional Honda simple design interior but with a modern, friendly look; lots of physical buttons.

On the road, the 0 to 60 test was completed in 6.36 seconds. As a daily driver it is excellent.

It features active safety systems like collision mitigation, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and a full surround view system.

Does well on dirt roads, despite having only standard all-season tires.

Honda’s Goal was to get a quick electric vehicle to the market and it appears they have met that Goal.
