Video Summary

The Audi Q6 e-tron is the first one to arrive on an all-new premium platform electric architecture. It shares basics with the Porsche Macan EV, providing similar driving experiences to other Audi utilities.  It has a next-gen electric motor design. The standard rear-drive gets 302 hp from an AC motor.  All-wheel drive adds an asynchronous AC motor up front for a total of 422 horsepower. Both motors are 30% smaller and 20% lighter than previous e-tron motors. Range estimates reach 321 miles, although a test loop found 260 to be more realistic. It has an 800-volt architecture, 270-kilowatt fast charging can fill the battery to 80% in just over 20 minutes.  It uses 35-kilowatt hours per 100 miles, earning a good efficiency rating.  The Q6 e-tron boasts launch control, reaching 60 miles per hour in just 4.6 seconds, and the quarter-mile is 13.2 seconds at 108 miles per hour. On the handling course, it feels incredibly nimble with minimal understeer and tremendous grip; steering is quick and responsive. During panic breaking, there is a firm pedal and quick stops in just 100 feet from 60mph, although a good bit of nose dive and seatbelt squeeze occur. The interior feels similar to the Q8. It includes the new digital stage infotainment setup, including a central 14.5-inch touchscreen. All electronic functions of the vehicle update over the air.
