Here is the summary of the YouTube video:
The Ford F-150 Lightning is competing with the Tesla Cybertruck, Silverado EV, Sierra EV, and Rivian R1T, but it offers a more traditional truck look and a lower price. The Lightning Flash trim is priced similarly to a comparable F-150 hybrid.
All new Lightning models include an NACS-to-CCS DC fast charge adapter, allowing access to Tesla Supercharger stations with plug-and-charge capability, however cables at V3 Tesla stations may not be long enough. The Lightning's large and accessible storage area (frunk) is better than the Tesla Cybertruck.
Build quality issues remain, like the headlight "light pipes" not lining up perfectly. Standard dual motors offer two different power levels, and two different battery packs. It is still pretty much an F-150, using mostly the same sheet metal as a regular F-150.
For performance tests, the 0-60 mph time is 3.8 seconds, and the 60-0 mph braking distance is 135 feet. The cabin noise level is 69.0 dB and fuel economy 2.1 mi/kWh.
The Lightning has standard dual motors, two different power levels, two different battery packs, a completely different frame and suspension design, and offers an independent suspension in the rear. There are power ports in the front trunk, offering 2.4 kW of on-board inversion.
Pros: -The bed accessories, toolboxes, and parts from the regular F-150 fits the Lightning -The V4 stations will have cables long enough for lightning.
Cons: -There were a number of Build Quality issues -You can no longer get that quick 19.2kw charger -The fuel economy is lower at the 2.1 mi/kWh level than initially thought, -On the Cybertruck, to get longer range with a battery you must give up 1/3 of your bed space. -Cybertruck lacks Apple CarPlay and rear-seat room compared to the lightning.
Average range is about 270 miles, a standard charge will not provide more than 300 miles.
