The higher spec also features front-wheel drive and offers a claimed range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge.
The EV offers a smooth, responsive driving experience, immediate torque delivery, and brisk acceleration. The tuned suspension effectively absorbs road imperfections. The light steering aids maneuverability in city traffic but provides adequate feedback at higher speeds. A regenerative braking system enhances energy efficiency.
The standard safety features include seven airbags, providing comprehensive protection, a 360-degree camera aids in parking, and ADAS features, like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. Charging supports both standard AC and fast DC charging, with the battery replenishing from 0 to 80% in approximately 50 minutes. An AC wall box charger is provided for overnight home charging.
The Evatara is available in three variants: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The Delta variant with the smaller battery pack is expected to be priced around 17 lakh Indian rupees. The model will compete with upcoming models like the Tata Curve EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE.06.
