Video Summary

The Porsche Macan Electric is built on a Premium Platform Electric (PPE) jointly developed with Audi. It features shorter overhangs and a slightly longer wheelbase than its gas-powered counterpart. It has proper Porsche looks, LED exterior lighting, and a sporty stance.

The interior offers comfortable seating and customization options. Front passengers will be comfortable in the good looking interior. The seating is comfortable, but there are a few confusing places. The seats are highly adjustable, made of comfortable leather, and the comfort seats are 14 way power adjustable. Rear seats are comfortable, but better suited to those six feet tall or shorter, as this is a compact SUV.

Regarding technology, it includes a clear head-up display, a 12.6-inch digital gauge cluster, and a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An additional passenger screen is available as an option. There is practical center storage and cup holders.

The 95 kWh battery comes in a variety of options. The rear-wheel drive model offers up to 355 horsepower, and the top-end model gets 630. The mid tier model offers 402 hp, reaching 60 mph in under 5 seconds. Its maximum charge rate is 270 kW, allowing 10 to 80 percent charge in 21 minutes. It has towing capacity of around 4409 pounds.

Some key features are launch control, propulsion sound, air suspension, and Porsche Active Suspension Management.

It has a low center of gravity, along with rear-focused weight distribution.

Range estimates include 315 miles in RWD models and 308 miles in the Macan 4 Electric. The 4S and Turbo models have a 288 mile range.

Safety features include lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, and emergency braking. It features Porsche InnoDrive and active lane keeping.

Pricing starts at $77,295 for the base RWD model. The Macan 4 is $80,795. And the Macan 4S is $86,895. The Turbo is $107,295, including destination.

It is fun to drive, handles like a Porsche, offers great feedback, and is capable of carving corners.
