The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has an output of 1,096 horsepower and achieves 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, or 2.1 seconds with the Weissach package. It also has an attack mode that gives 160 extra horsepower for 10 seconds.The car features aerodynamic enhancements, including a front splitter made of black plastic, aeroblades near the front wheels, and a carbon fiber rear wing on the Weissach package, leading to 485 lbs of downforce, a significant increase over the normal Taycan.
It has lighter base model headlight units to reduce weight. On the front fender there is no left charge port, saving additional weight and allowing for a larger vent opening. It uses the same suspension as the Porsche Panamera, a hydraulic Porsche active ride system.
The wheels are 21-inch, available with gold carbon ceramic brakes, and lighter calipers. The wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires.
The Wiessach version has a rear seat delete to save weight, and comes with a carbon fiber rear hatch wing. The rear hatch opens manually with no electronic support, again for weight saving purposes.
The Porsche lettering isn't lit up in back to save weight, and there are areoblades with a rear diffuser.
There are two knobs on the steering wheel, one to select the drive mode and one to use attack mode. Left paddle on the steering wheel regenerates the car, but does not offer one pedal driving. There is a button for “attack” mode. The 600 amp power inverter has been upgraded to 900.
For the Taycan Turbo GT and the Wiessach package models, the price is $230,000. All these improvements create a car that is 18 seconds faster than a Tesla Model S Plaid and only two seconds slower on the Nurburgring than a Rimac Nevera.
