Video Summary

Here's the summary of the video review about the Volvo EX90:

The Volvo EX90 is a new, luxurious, high-tech flagship SUV with two performance outputs. The higher output produces 510 horsepower. The car has a combined range of 300 miles using a 111 kWh lithium-ion battery. The base price is $80,000. It features a front trunk. The exterior design is futuristic but distinctly Volvo. The Thor's Hammer headlights physically split to reveal the high beams. Base models have 20-inch alloy wheels while higher-end models include 22-inch alloy wheels. It is a seven day review, meaning that features such as official sound level and real-world range and efficiency were tested.

The rear features a modern version of Volvo’s signature tail lights and a spoiler up top. The base of the rear can tow up to 4,850 pounds. The auto-dimming driver side mirrors, blind-spot monitoring and heated power folding mirrors include side cameras.

The car has Active Safety Features including Forward Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Auto High Beams, Adaptive Cruise Control w/ Lane Change Assist and a lidar sensing technology for better safety.

The reviewer praises storage in the centre console. A high-end, 25-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system (upgrade) sounds phenomenal. A 9-inch display is connected to the steering column. The vehicle features the standard 360-degree camera system and a head-up display.

The car offers leather-free seating with Nardico leatherette. The interior design makes a great first impression. However, reviewers stated that at a starting price of 80,000 they would rather have Nappa leather seating options than Nardico.

Several issues were discovered when operating the digital features with some systems crashing with system navigation. The infotainment has a 14 1/2” central touch screen that has Apple CarPlay but lacks Android Auto. It will offer Android, Google Maps and other Google features, however, it’s often glitchy. Volvo is 8 spots below industry average in reliability. All the models will have a large panoramic glass roof that can’t be opened. Also, no sunshade is included with the vehicles. The car offers a three year 36,000 mile warranty and an 8-year, 100,000 mile battery warranty.

While it is a very quiet electric vehicle, the technology is too glitchy.
