7 Reasons Why You SHOULD NOT Buy Lexus UX!

Video Summary

Entry-level SUVs are some of the most sought-after models across global markets, blending relative affordability with efficiency, trademark refinement, and reliability. The Lexus UX is a good example, especially considering it's a luxury brand. The frugal hybrid powertrain helps in the long run, but like most cars, the UX has issues.
One issue is that the UX is a hybrid exclusive, with a 196 horsepower hybrid powertrain, that includes a 2.0 L four cylinder engine and dual electric motors. The UX is thrifty, but not exciting, from the powertrain perspective. There are more exciting hybrids in Toyota's portfolio. The 2025 Lexus UX feels sluggish and the engine is noisy when revving. Despite the increase of 15 HP with a more powerful electric motor and new battery pack, it is not something to write home about, as the rivals tend to be quicker. At 7.7 seconds from 0 to 60 mph the UX is far from sporty.
A cramped rear seat and low cargo space are also issues, with 33.1" of rear leg room and 17.1 cu ft of free trunk space. Competitors provide more room.
There is also no off-road capability. It doesn't have inherent off-road oriented capabilities.  In addition, the reviewer found the interior dull, noting that the UX cabin is well-appointed and put together nicely, it's also somewhat constrained and missed opportunities. An entry-level luxury vehicle such as the Lexus UX should be more exciting. The 8" display found in the standard model is simply unacceptable.
There are better alternatives within and beyond this segment, and the value for money that once existed, is not there anymore.

The prices are:
Starts from $37,515.
Premium trim adds: heated and cooled front seats, a sunroof, power tailgate, new 12.3-inch touchscreen: $40,715.
F-Sport Design trim costs $41,465.
F-Sport Handling costs $45,980.

While the UX stands out as the most efficient model, it fails to capitalize. It is a polarizing compact crossover that seems to have a loyal base of buyers, but finds it hard to attract new ones.
