ALL NEW JEEP AVENGER: the new superhero of small electric cars? / Electrifying

Video Summary
The Jeep Avenger is a compact, almost Volkswagen Polo-sized SUV.
The Avenger manages to shrink the Jeep look well, with squared-off wheel arches, butch-looking plastic cladding, Jeep's trademark seven-slot grille, and a cross in the rear lights design.
It is Jeep's first fully electric car.
Under the new body is mechanical equipment used in the Vauxhall Mokka-e and Peugeot e-2008.
The Avenger gets upgrades, including a new, more efficient motor and a bigger, 54-kilowatt-hour battery.
It has an official WLTP figure of 250 miles, which is 4.6 miles out of every kilowatt put in.
This is twice as much as with a larger SUV.
The Avenger has 355 liters of boot space, a lovely little storage space for cables.
There is enough space in the boot to take a chunky outdoor buggy, and the boxy shape provides good height.
The space in the back is about the same size as a Corsa-sized hatch.
There's enough legroom/headroom for an average-sized person (at least 5'8").
Up front, there's space for a tall driver to find a natural feeling driving position, and there's loads of storage cubbies around the cabin.
The interior is decent, and the dashboard has a big chunk of color.
It has physical buttons and a 10 and a quarter-inch touchscreen, which seems quite logical and straightforward to use.
It's a big step forward over previous Jeeps, with decent graphics and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto; the screen isn't the quickest to respond.
The "First Edition" gets electric heated seats with lumbar adjustment and other extras, including ambient lighting.
The base model will start around £34,000, but the "Altitude" is closer to £35,000.
It is a two-wheel-drive, so may struggle on a snowy hill or in a muddy carpark, but it is a Jeep with Select Terrain, which allows the user to adjust the vehicle's settings to suit particular conditions.
There's a decent amount of ground clearance.
This is not a hardcore off-roader, and it cannot tow.
With the Avenger, it really does have the makings of a great car, with chunky SUV looks with that city-friendly size, decent efficiency, is surprisingly practical, and might have a little off-road ability.
