The new Ioniq’s battery is a 38 kWh. The "Yelo Test" to drive to Yelo from Oslo is almost 230 kilometers and 600 meters of elevation. WLTP range is 311 km. Despite driving uphill in rainy, winter weather, Ioniq can make it to Yelo; it is the efficiency king. The Audi E-tron 50 missed the Yelo test by two percent. The Ioniq has much smaller battery. The Ioniq, it can go half of the amount of kilometers as the Audi E-tron on the test. Ioniq costs about half of what an E-tron. Mileage was averaging 12.3 kW/h. After the drive from Oslo to Yelo with 82% charge remaining, the car has range of 234 km. At Yelo there was 9% left. It took over three hours to reach Yelo. Charging the Ioniq at Yelo took about one hour to reach 85%.

While at the charger, the gas price was 1.71 EUR/l, 7.15 USD/gal.

The Hyundai Bluelink app allows to start air conditioning. At charge stations, charging was going as slow as about 25 kW.
