Video Summary

The Koenigsegg CC850 is homage to the first ever Koenigsegg. It features a detachable and stowable roof. From a shape and design statement, it is a purely designed sports car. Its lights have come a long way. Lights are of in-house design and development. An air breather underneath is connected to the brake cooling and HVAC system. The front splitter is carbon fiber, and the top surface of the car is painted.

This car features surround-view cameras, birds-eye view parking, and parking sensors, which the original did not have. It is balanced at around 4-500 kilos maximum with an emphasis on driving enjoyment, comfort, noise, and sounds.

Underpinnings are very similar to the Jesko. It features metallic wheels because carbon wheels were not available in the original version. The metal is painted but the undercarriage features beautiful carbon. The buyer must go through the Legend division to add carbon wheels. Each car is individually wet-sanded and polished, resulting in great paint.

The car spends little time in a wind tunnel due to using advanced aerodynamics simulations, with a flat airfield used to test this data.

Its design and engineering team created their own infotainment system. A custom leather from Sweden is used for interiors, and all internal pieces are carbon, metal, or leather, eliminating plastic except for weather protection strips. There is also limited customization to eight colors.

There are heated seats but no ventilation. There are a few storage spaces, but this is a con for such a costly car.

To be able to shift gears, the car requires a clutch with electric and hydraulic actuators, and there are seven clutches in the car. One clutch is used for reverse, and six for a specific gear. The engine is very quick revving due to not having a flywheel or torque converter. The overall result is a 9-speed automatic manual.

The engine is 5.0L Twin-Turbo producing 1,385 horsepower on E85, with 1100 horsepower on normal petrol.

There is an anti-squat geometry preventing the back side from pitching. The wheels can get a better contact patch.

This car should be bought, if one can.
