The interior is compact, but functionally laid out and well-packaged, thanks to its electric nature. Ergonomics are brilliant. All controls fall right to hand.The cabin has crisp 10.25-inch screens and a steering wheel with physical controls. The software is surprisingly good. With Blue Link companion smartphone connectivity and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the basic stereo sounds acceptable.
The reviewed model starts from $39,000 before on-road costs. It comes standard with climate control, LED headlights and taillights, and a full safety suite including adaptive cruise and lane keeping. By spending another $3,500 on Inster extended range, you get an extra 50 kilometers, a slightly bigger battery, 17-inch wheels, and a houndstooth cloth interior. At $45,000, there is an Inster Cross that looks tougher outside with SUV cladding and optional sunroof and roof box.
It's recommended to slow down before entering corners, on country roads due to grip levels, and efficiency is good. Charging up to 120 kW on DC will charge from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. A full charge costs about $18.
Servicing is required every two years or 30,000 kilometers, costing $655. The warranty is currently five years/unlimited kilometers. The chassis has a long wheelbase, contributing to stability. The narrow track asks a lot of the suspension for road holding. It may be the best for those who want a normal, well-finished car and not just the cheapest option. It provides better road handling and better, intuitive steering.
