Jaguar I-PACE year 4 review. Should you buy one?

Uploaded 1 year ago by Electric Focus

Video Summary

Style and Design: It's one of the best looking cars, and EVs, on the road.

Drive and Performance: It's a fantastic car to drive with a sporty feel.

Ride Comfort: It’s comfortable on short, medium, and even long journeys.

Criticism: Long journeys in the car result in a sore back.

Practicability: It's a big SUV with plenty of space, and a good-sized boot. The sloping back windscreen impacts dog space. It's a very practical car.

Technology: It has all expected features and functions if you pay extra, but it has the right mix of screen and physical buttons. Apple CarPlay works well.

Range: On average, expect a 225-235-mile range. In the winter it drops to around 200 miles, while in summer, it can go up to 270 miles. The battery hasn’t been improved since 2018.

Battery Charging: The maximum charging speed is 104 kilowatts, but the car doesn't have a flat charging curve; it tapers off quite quickly.

Reliability: There have been several reliability issues. Windscreen and the potential battery fault concerned the reviewer the most.

Value: It feels premium inside and out. The car is expensive and specifying all available options pushes the price to over 80,000 pounds. With no updates or changes since 2018, consider other cars available on the market today.

Warranty: A 3-year warranty is included, while the battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles.

Buy recommendation: If buying new, look at all options. If considering a second-hand purchase, there are real bargains out there.
