Video Summary
The Lotus Eletre is a customer-delivered version with a 112 kWh battery and over 100 kWh usable, using an 800-volt architecture with up to 350 kW charging speed. Three versions are available: Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R.
The R model can go from 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds. The Eletre and Eletre S do it in 4.5 seconds. The base model starts at just under £90,000. This particular car has optional features like 22-inch wheels, active aero package, air quality system, configurable ambient lighting, and side cameras. It features the Galloway green paint color.
This version has a 22-inch five-spoke diamond cut in grey carbon fiber wheels, an active aero package, an air quality system, configurable ambient lighting, intelligent glass roof and the dynamic handling package. The tested customer delivered version has: A base trim; 22-inch diamond cut in grey carbon fiber wheels, active aero package, configurable ambient lighting, the quartz interior, intelligent glass roof with auto tinting, side cameras, dynamic handling package and highway assistant package and starts at over £111,000.
The steering is very responsive, making cornering at speeds of 44 mph possible while staying very level. The review shows a real-world range estimate of about 2.4 miles per kWh. There are some interesting design decisions, like the little triangles at the front that open and close for cooling systems, plus there are matrix headlights down in the front.
The rear features scoops, a rear spoiler, and it is one of the only cars to allow you to see the tires from that point. The trunk is 688 L of boot space but has a not-quite-flat load area. The rear seats have seat-back-mounted controls and recline.
Previous Tesla Model Y Long Range owner is that the efficiency of the Eletra is likely lower but that the car has better ride comfort, handling, cornering, steering, styling and overall cabin materials than the Tesla. The Tesla is the better value for money and has more developed software and more in-car entertainment options.
