Uploaded 1 month ago by The Electric Viking

Video Summary

The most appealing car that Lucid has ever revealed is described as the ultimate family car.

Lucid plans on making them in right-hand drive for markets outside the United States. The 2026 Lucid Gravity X Concept has been revealed at Pebble Beach and is actually a real car but is not yet available for purchase.

It is described as the EV pioneer's first ever trail-ready SUV. Compared to the regular midsize Gravity SUV, it has a wider track, raised suspension, and a set of stronger off-road rims wrapped in all-terrain tires. It has rugged front and rear bash plates, underbody armor, and a set of new tow hooks.

The Gravity also has an aerodynamically optimized roof rack with LED auxiliary lamps. There is a pair of bonnet-mounted graphics featuring topographical maps of Big Sur and Death Valley. The Gravity is meant to be a legit off-road vehicle.

Electric cars automatically have an advantage over internal combustion for off-roading, because electric motors are better. Unveiling was timed with Lucid's plan to upgrade its European presence in the next few weeks.

Lucid is primed to offer its take on Land Rover’s Terrain Response system that will pre-arm the all-wheel drive.

The top-of-the-range Grand Touring model has a dual motor powertrain, with 617 kilowatts—that's 827 horsepower. It also has 1,232 Newton meters of torque. It goes from zero to 62 miles per hour in three and a half seconds. It comfortably fits seven passengers.

The car has an 800-volt architecture—actually 926-volt electric architecture. It has a 123-kilowatt hour battery, the same size as the one in the Tesla Cybertruck. The battery can charge at 400 kilowatts. It can add 200 miles of range in less than 11 minutes.

Gravity range is 450 miles EPA, which is 724 kilometers. This is unquestionably the longest range electric SUV on the market in Australia. However, the off-road version is going to get less range because of bigger tires and poorer aerodynamics. With the off-road version, it is likely closer to 380 miles.

It’s a great car, but expensive, and probably a luxury item.

The Model YL will be on sale worldwide. It is 196 in long, 1920 mm wide, 1668 mm high, and the wheelbase is 119.7 in. It weighs 2088 kilos. It is the lightest weight six-seat electric SUV on the planet. It has a lower $53,000 USD starting price compared to the Gravity’s starting point of $79,900. The estimated price for Model YL in Australia is $74,400 AUD, and £51,000. The Lucid Gravity could potentially be the best car of all.
