Video Summary

The Zeekr 001 looks like an Audi RS6 design-wise, but comes at half the price of German premium manufacturers. Base model price starts at EUR 55,000.

It's a full-size wagon with an expressive exterior design. The front features daytime running lights and split main headlamp units. Wheel sizes are 21 or 22 inches. The version tested has the biggest size at 22-inch wheels as well as high trim level. Air suspension is not available for the base model.

Battery range is 100 kWh gross, 96 kWh net. With the 400V charging, it takes less than 30 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% charge with a 200 kW DC peak. The Zeekr 7X SUV has a newer 800V charging.

Rear-wheel drive has a 7.2 seconds acceleration; the all-wheel drive has 3.8 seconds. There are expressive taillamp signatures. Full lettering is used, which is a new trend in the industry.

The interior quality is good. There's no felt covering on the door pockets, though there's high-grade leatherette, bright microfiber, and a 12-speaker Yamaha sound system. High trim level has heated seats and other features. The steering wheel is animal material and is easily made greasy.

A small front trunk has a tire repair kit. An easter egg is a skyline with the Eiffel Tower on the front screen. There are flush door handles, with the doors opening towards the user.

Consumption is around 21 kWh/100km at 15 degrees Celsius. Range is 460 kilometers or 285 miles. Speeding chime can be disabled in settings. Adaptive cruise control works well.

The test drive finds that power is agile, acceleration is good in sports mode, and the steering is precise. The regenerative braking in 1-pedal mode is decent. There were “squeaking noises” with the window frames due to frame less windows.
