The Lexus RZ has been heavily updated, including instant acceleration. For a mid-cycle refresh, there are a lot of changes.The RZ 550e model has 408 horsepower and 227 miles of range. All RZ models have a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery. The front-wheel-drive model, called the 350e, has 224 horsepower and up to 302 miles of range.
A new front-wheel-drive model is available in Canada. The base trim comes with a 7-inch digital driver display, a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker audio system, a wireless charger, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, driver seat memory, nuluxe upholstery, and power driver and passenger seats. It also includes Lexus Safety System + 3.0 and a power tailgate.
This latest RZ adopts the North American charging standard for 2026 and gets an 11 kW onboard charger, up from 7 kW on the previous model. The updates include a larger battery pack, a new battery structure, a new design for the floor, and new electric drive motors, resulting in more range and power. The front suspension, including the bushings, and geometry have also been changed, helping improve handling, including in winter climate conditions. The structure of the vehicle has increased rigidity to help with the battery, making it feel more like a Lexus.
The previous model was a bit of a disappointment, lacking in performance, and had slow charging. The upgraded RZ has taken care of that. There is no rear wiper and no front trunk.
Standard features include LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch wheels (20-inch available), and a tire repair kit. The 550e F Sport model has a unique exterior design. Black F Sport features include the grill, front and rear bumper moldings, badging, and 20-inch wheels with aero covers to reduce weight and help with energy efficiency. An available panoramic glass roof with opaque shading is available. This vehicle also features a virtual gear shift mode.
A new color option is available and the two-tone, where you can get the black roof and the black hood.The styling is sportier with the F Sport model.
