The car is the first Japanese electric sports sedan. The spoiler goes up when the car starts. The interior is well-styled. Performance is inadequate, with too little power. It's a thick premiere; so, it is a welcome addition to the Mazda Motor Europe range. The Mazda 6e is nice styled, over a million sold in Europe and more than four million worldwide since 2002. An update in 2012 improved it and there are still some consumers who want one. It is developed in cooperation with a Chinese partner. The platform is a Chang'an EPA1 electric platform. The smaller version has a lithium iron phosphate battery (66.8 kWh). That provides for a range of 479 km. It has a DC charging capacity of 165 kW, and a 10-80% charging time of 47 minutes. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 175 km/h. The long-range option has a nickel cobalt manganese battery (80kWh) with a range of 552 km.
