Mercedes eVito Tourer - Exactly who is this van designed for?

Uploaded 3 years ago by AutoEV

Video Summary

The car has a distinct Mercedes Benz grill. There are two trim levels available: select and pro.

The styling is similar to the EQV. As a tourer, this version has windows in the rear, unlike the panel van version. The tourer has 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interior design is basic, yet functional.

It seats up to 8 passengers and can have several configurations, although all the seats are not sliding, you have the option to remove them completely

Driving the EVito is exemplary, comfortable and nice to drive, there is a weight behind the steering, it shows nice progression of the pedals. Regen can be changed with a paddle.

It has a WTLP range of 220 miles with its 100kWh battery.

It charges in a 110 kW DC.

The charging port is mounted in the near side, and can be filled from 10% to 80% in around 40 minutes. An 11kW wallbox takes just over 10 hours to charge it from zero to 100%.

Cons:

Dashboard lacks any design flair.

There is a lack of standard equipment.

The price of options makes this tourer a poor value for money.

The base EVito Tourer is just over £62.5K. A lot of options such as electric adjustable seats, and front and rear carpets add another £7.5K, bringing the total to over £70k. There is better value to be had, in a similar vehicle from Peugeot. It also is too close to another Mercedes vehicle: the EQV. The EQV’s interior and design is superior at a similar price point. This Tourer needs to have nine seats to justify itself.

The main competition comes from its brother, the EQV.
