Video Summary

The 2022 MG ZS EV is available in Brilliant Blue, white, black, new silver, and red.

The charging point has been moved off-center. The charging flap is easier to get into with a side opening and two internal flaps, and no rubber bungs. AC charging is 7.4 kW, and DC charging goes up to 76 kW.

On an AC home charger, charging time is about 10.25 hours. DC charging takes around 43 minutes for a 75 kW or 100 kW plus charger. A 50 kW DC charger takes just over an hour to go from 10-80%.

The car has a chrome/brushed element at the front mirrored at the back and full LED lights with daytime running signatures. 17-inch wheels are standard, Excites or Exclusives in Ireland. The side profile is similar to the original, with just different wheels. 360-degree cameras and keyless entry are included, along with a push button.

The high-level brake light and flush MG badge at the back do not protrude. It has 470 liters of storage with the seats up and about 1100 liters with seats down. A tire inflation kit and charging cables are standard, but a spare wheel is optional.

The side charging flap opens sideways. There is vehicle-to-load technology.

Inside, the car has electric windows in the front and rear and leather seats in the exclusive model. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable and has heated front seats. The dash has an 8-inch full digital display.

The steering wheel has red stitching. There are audio controls on the left and menu selection on the right. Behind, there are lights and wipers, plus an MG pilot stock. The 10.1-inch TFT screen is responsive, with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are physical climate buttons. There is a 12 V USB-A, USB-C and behind the camera is a USB-A if you want to put a dashcam.

In the UK, the versions are the Trophy and Trophy Connect. The version in Ireland is the Excite, which does not have roof rails. The Exclusive version has roof rails and retractable wing mirrors. There are 2 isofix seats in the back.

The back is more padded, and there is more leg room. Soft, carbon-effect fabric can be found on the rear seats and the panoramic roof goes all the way back.

The car gets three driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.

Features MG Pilot: Adaptive cruise control, lane keep, lane departure warning, reversing warning (if something comes across), emergency braking, which also picks up cyclists. It has Intelligent Speed Limiting. The top is a panorama sunroof that opens, all for under €35,000 in Ireland after grants.
