New 2025 Polestar 2 Long Range AWD Review | Power and Range?

Video Summary

Here's a summary of the video review of an electric car:

The Polestar 2 is a joint venture between Geely and Volvo; Volvo had a more active role in the early stages of design.
The car has Thor-style headlights similar to some Volvo models.
The front has been face-lifted to add a safety panel with a radar and camera.
One thing that is slightly odd but unique is that the safety equipment such as the mid-range radar is annotated on the exterior.
Down the side, it says Polestar 2, battery capacity and power output in kilowatts (82kWh/310kW, 75kW usable).
The charger flap is on the other side, its a type 2 CCS port, and it’s capable of up to 205kW charging so a 10-80% charge is under 30 mins.
19-inch alloy wheels have aero covers, and all the trim is blacked out for a sleek sporty look.
The rear has super-recognizable Polestar rear lights, upper streaks, and a lower light bar, with the Polestar badge, and is very unfussy.
The rear boot is electronic, activated just above the rear license plate. It comes with a luggage divider, a large underfloor storage space that can be propped up, a 12-volt socket, 5 tie-down points, and 4 luggage hooks, two on the divider itself.
The boot volume is 405 litres, and the 60/40 rear seats do drop for over 1000 litres of space (loading is made easier by being a hatchback/liftback).
The car is not very roomy in the rear; tall adults will feel cramped. It is only suited for children.
There is also a massive transmission tunnel hump in the floor due to it being based on ICE car platform.
There is a center armrest with two cupholders, plus two USB-C sockets, and the bottle storage in the doors. I sofix on the outer seats (not the middle) with pop-off covers.

Optional Nappa leather is recommended over the stock technical fabric.
There are climate controls on a screen (not always available), and there is a short cut button available.
This car’s Android-based information display is well made, but if one’s preference is Apple, Apple CarPlay is available via wire.
The driver display shows predicted range and battery level.
This is the all-wheel-drive long-range model with 416 bhp and 740 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just over 4 seconds, and its WLTMP range is 370 miles.
The car is considered crisp-designed and handles well.
Many reports state that this vehicle isn’t well-suited to British roads as it is fidgety and harsh. This, however, was tested with optional 20-inch alloy wheels (this vehicle used the standard 19s).
Overall, a good long-distance EV cruiser that is quick and nice.
