Here is the summary of the YouTube video:The Chevy Silverado Trail Boss is an incredible pickup truck. It was initially thought that the off-road wheels, tires, upgraded and lifted suspension would negatively impact the vehicle’s range, but that is not the case.
Starting at $72,000 USD, it has 480 miles of range which is 800 kilometers. The Trail Boss has different suspension with a lift kit and updated hydraulic rebound control system for off-road driving, along with new off-road terrain modes. A new trim exclusive terrain mode acts like low-speed off-road focused cruise control.
It gets four-wheel steering for a better response off-road and has a high angular approach front fascia along with 35” all terrain tires and 18” wheels.
The cabin receives nice touches. The mid-gate turns the pickup truck into a six-foot bed with 8-9 feet of bed. Both vehicles have more range than the Tesla CyberTruck. With the extended battery pack, the vehicle offers 12,500 pounds of towing capacity, plus 2,100 pounds of payload capacity.
With the max battery pack, the vehicle provides 725 horsepower (540-kilowatt) and 1,050 Nm of torque. Chevrolet is getting rid of the RST version of the Silverado EV, so they will only offer the work truck, the LT, or Trail Boss. It is also receiving Super Cruise now integrated with Google maps. The super cruise is like Tesla’s autopilot, but not full self-driving.
Weaknesses include General Motors’ spotty history with their trail bosses, though those problems were with the engines.
