Video Summary

The 2024 Porsche Macan 4 Electric is all-new and shares nothing, not even the nose badge, with the previous internal combustion version. The internally combusted Macan remains on sale in the UK. The electric one comes in several versions, from two-wheel drive to “Turbo.”

The Macan 4 has two electric motors with a total of just under 400 horsepower. The motors are behind the axles, which distributes weight in a way similar to the 911.

The 2.3-ton vehicle’s center of gravity is about 140 mm lower than in an internal combustion Macan. The car is around 4.7 meters long and nearly 2 meters wide.

The interior has physical buttons for climate control. Some driver-assist features are controlled by a button on the steering wheel stalk, while regenerative braking settings are on a touchscreen.

The driving position is good, and the steering wheel is nice and round. The electric Macan is spacious in the front. There's 84 liters of storage space under the front hood.

It has a WLTP range of 368 miles and a WLTP efficiency of 3.36 mi/kWh. The rear cabin provides enough space. It’s best suited for two rear passengers.

Boot space is between 540 and 1348 liters, but the load lip is high.

There's no rear wiper, but visibility is pretty good.

The steering provides a firm, stable feel and is also direct. The active rear steering in the car is very helpful for turning in. Active rear steer helps maneuver and makes the car turn readily.

This Macan starts at around £70,000 in the UK. It feels, but just like other Porsches, it drives dynamically.

This feels like an electric Porsche SUV.
