The F-150 Lightning has familiar and comfortable F-150 features. The front trunk can hold ice for cooling beverages. The front trunk is spacious enough for groceries, golf clubs, and even a 6'6", 280-pound person. A 6-day-old ice cooler in the front trunk shows the excellent insulation, plus it has a drain for easy water removal. It’s possible to control climate, heated steering wheel, and seat settings from the phone app, unlike the Shelby F-150. It's easy to drive without drawing attention. The charging station lifestyle is a struggle, with public chargers that are annoying to find. Most Ford EV owners charge at home, but that requires planning the trips to not go beyond range. A tunnel cover and bed carpet, like in Shelby F-150, should be added. The Lightning provides a smooth, quiet, comfortable experience. Also, there were some glitches with Tesla charging stations that would be worked out. It's a great product with functionality and benefits. He's a muscle car guy and if he was forced to trade his Shelby, he would get Raptor R. However, his wife might enjoy owning an EV.
