Here is the summary of the YouTube video:
The 2022 Mercedes EQS has depreciated heavily, making it attainable for people to buy this car. The EQS sedan had a sales disaster for Mercedes. It cost $34,000 for the reviewer to buy the EQS after trading in the Cadillac Lyric. It had an MSRP of over $118,000 when new. The previous CEO was with Mercedes-Benz for 40 years and held up the tradition of building the best or nothing. Stock prices on the electric cars are very speculative, and Tesla is worth more than Mercedes, plus Lucid’s market cap was similar to Mercedes when they came out in 2021. The EQS car doesn't look very appealing, resembling Toyota Prius type looks. The design is because of the low drag coefficient, which should mean that the EQS is efficient. The drag coefficient is .022. The used car market shows the Mercedes EQS depreciates 47.8% each year, which is higher than the Nissan Leaf. Mercedes redesigned EQS with a different grill and put a hood star on the vehicle. The EQS lacks a frunk and an obvious hood release to see all the mechanical parts inside, as they do not want you to open it. The sound that car makes is a cool spaceship type noise. The reviewer does not believe the car is worth $118,000 and they’d buy a normal S-class any day of the week. Compared to a 1985 Mercedes S-Class, the EQS is not as well built, due to rattling in the doors. The S-Class has been a class leader, innovating each generation, which has the EQS falling behind in being the best or nothing. There is not as much range as a Tesla Model S, which is something that EV buyers brag about, along with the fast acceleration. The 0-60 mph is about 5.9 seconds. The interior is pretty nice and has standard Mercedes features. The self-driving features are very nice but not as good as a Tesla, as it pulls in a driveway and parks itself. Overall, the EQS is not a sales leader. The EQS has 338 miles on 3/4 of a charge.
