Video Summary

The Dodge Charger Daytona is the second biggest change to the brand in its history. It is changing the muscle car platform and powertrains while evolving for the future. It aims to push the boundaries of performance, outperforming today’s muscle cars, but to some it's just a better muscle car that happens to have an EV motor to make it all-wheel drive.

This new all-wheel-drive EV has faster zero to sixty times, quicker quarter mile times. The base price for the RT is about $59,595 and for the Scat Pack it’s about $73,190, and includes a destination charge. Both these prices are valid when leasing and therefore the full $7,500 credit is applicable. The Track Pack has 305s in the front, 325s in the rear with a massive 16-inch braking system. There is a carbon-suede package with carbon throughout the interior, and a glass roof, high back-fixed headrest and pass-through seats.

It incorporates a R-Wing that reduces drag and improves downforce, performance and efficiency. There is also the multi-energy-powered platform to meet shifting consumer demands, line lock, donut mode, drift mode, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, and a 12.3 inch radio screen. In this vein, a new noise system was designed to have a comfortable familiar sound.

The new EVs also have great utility with all wheel drive and folding flat seats for a best in class cargo capacity, easy to load the hatch, easy to enter and exit the seats. Initial range estimates are around 317 miles, and production should be Q4 of next year.
