Video Summary

A Nissan Leaf ZE1 battery replacement is shown. After flying to Hong Kong, the battery was already installed by partners. Before the replacement, the car's SOH reading was 99% and the range was 408km at 81% SOC. The 40kWh battery pack was replaced with 75kWh, providing long range at a cost of significant weight increase. An OBD2 dongle and app was used to check the parameters of the battery with a 29mV cell voltage difference. This heavy pack upgrade may require upgrading the rear suspension, it also needs to cut the battery case. The electric car's fast charging function was tested and it was "normal". The charging power 29kW, and 387 volts was observed, and 77 amps. After charging, Leafspy data shows a charging current 65 amp, 388 volts, and 24mV voltage differential. Smaller, more cost effective 50kWh or 62kWh battery upgrades are recommended, because they don't require cutting the battery case or upgrading the suspension.
