The Volkswagen ID.3 Pure Business is a stripped-down version lacking features like a heat pump, auto steer/travel assist, electric adjustable seats, a 360° camera, and keyless access, while costing 320,000 NOK. The MG4 Electric Luxury has more features for nearly the same price. The MG4 has a 64 kWh battery, allowing for a 450 km range, while the ID.3 has a 55 kWh battery allowing for a 387 km range. The MG4 has 204 hp; the ID.3 has 170 hp. The MG4 includes MG Pilot (autosteer), a heat pump, a 360° camera, and motorized seat adjustment, but only an 11 kW on-board charger. For space utilization, the Volkswagen is better. The ID.3 has a larger trunk (76cm long, 102 cm wide, 78 cm height), compared to the MG4 (73 cm long, 93cm wide, 76 cm height). The trunk has hooks for securing cargo, a feature missing on the MG4. With the seats folded, the MG4 has a flatter seat. Length is 160 cm in the MG4. The length is 157 to 177 cm in the ID.3. The diagonal measurement is 202 cm for the MG4, while the ID.3 has 190 cm. The ID.3 has ISOfix for front seats and more isofix in the back. The MG4 has velcro hiding the isofix. There is one USB-A on the MG4 and two USB-C ports on the ID.3. Also a central 12 V on the MG4 in back. The MG4 has a wireless charging pad for phones and a low-res 360 camera. The ID.3 has illuminated buttons, a bigger screen, and the OS system feels better. Soundproofing in the ID.3 is better. The cruise control is smoother on the ID.3. However, the MG4 features more piano black finish on its surfaces and the author decides he prefers it to the ID.3. The MG4 has reported power consumption of 169 Wh/km. The ID.3 uses 145 Wh/km.
