Video Summary
The 2024 Tesla Model 3 features a sleeker, more modern exterior with sharper LED headlights and taillights. The wheel covers have been visually improved; the front trunk has been reduced in size to accommodate the heat pump. A power liftgate and carpeting-like material in the rear trunk were added. An area where Tesla has traditionally struggled is with hood alignment, and this new model 3 still suffers from a similar issue. The gaps around headlights and fenders are improved. Door alignment is improved, and door handles are now flush. At the rear, the taillights are placed on the liftgate. The interior has improved sound damping, thanks to dual-pane windows and acoustic glass on other windows. Tesla made improvements to soft-touch materials on the door and added carpet to the door pockets. The updated center console ditches the glossy black plastic. Tesla finally has a system so a front passenger can completely turn their vent off. The seats are comfortable and cooling is decent. The implementation of dashboard ambient lighting causes a huge crack-like reflection on the windshield. Angled rear seats provide better thigh support, and a screen was added for the passengers in the back. There are still typical trim gap alignment build quality concerns. However, the reviewer claims Tesla is better about putting them together and securing them. The Tesla has a smooth Tesla OS with voice command, navigation, and amazing sound system. FSD or full self driving is also a major point in the review. However, the reviewers say, Tesla did not explain it well, while it can be smooth on the highways, it also may wait a bit too long to change lanes. It can also have an event of phantom breaking at anytime. This may happen even on FSD where the car will drive 10 MPH below the speed limits. Although a major feature of Tesla, the Autopark is excellent for Tesla Supercharges, however they require a tight cut, so the system works but may be very dangerous. Tesla no longer has old Ultrasonic sensors and replaced them with Tesla Vision. The distance estimations are now inaccurate. On the road, the Model 3 has good suspension. The cabin noise is around 67.5dB, so it is similar to luxury cars.
