The Rivian R1T has over 800 horsepower, all terrain tires, and is top speed limited. The two cars were nearly neck and neck up to the Rivian’s top speed. The Rivian R1T has stronger regen braking than the Model 3. This option is on the highest regen settings. The Rivian R1T is around $92,000 as optioned but starts in the $70,000 range. The Model 3 cost about $53,000. The Rivian R1T has a larger, powered front trunk. It features pass-through storage in the back containing a first aid kit and a compressor. Tesla has many cool security features and the “dog mode”. Rivian calls the security mode “gear guard.”  The Rivian R1T has a tire kit and space for a spare tire.  The Rivian is a useful vehicle with all these features and great performance for its size.
