Video Summary
Here is a summary of the YouTube video review about the Kia Soul EV, according to your formatting instructions:
The Kia Soul EV is in its second body, but third battery revision, its battery capacity and range have doubled. The current model has new, more efficient motors, and new suspension. The “First Edition” spec has nearly every conceivable extra, except front parking sensors. The website lists the cost at £34,295 after the plug-in car grant. The car is spacious. The leg and headroom are generous for both the driver and front passenger. While the interior has good space for one adult plus a child seat, adding a second adult to the rear seat makes it cosy. Its range is 287 miles at 100% charge. After a 140-mile trip, in awful weather, the range dropped to 114 miles, averaging 3.6 miles per kWh. The Soul is fully LED’d, its matrix headlights are fantastic. Charging is straightforward and, on a suitable charger, can reach 77 kW. At home, 7.7 kW can be achieved on a 32-amp supply. 0-62mph takes 7.9 seconds, and has 200 horsepower. The ever-adjustable regen is great and the flapping paddle style.
The TFT display is a mix of digital and analog gauges. The software standard head unit is good, however Android Auto gives only 70% of the screen, but it was faultless, however this plays second fiddle to Apple Carplay. The auto-hold switch reverts off every time it is cycled on. A minor frustration. The passenger seat lacks electrical adjustable controls. The Kia Soul’s boot, at 317 litres, is small and a buggy will not fit. One party trick is removing the boot liner to fit the pushchair. Folding the rear seats provides 1339 litres of space. A lot of storage was dotted round the cabin. In all it’s a good bit of kit.
The car is really well-finished, all of it has soft-touch materials, with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, although doesn’t come with moon lighting. Road noise is quite bad for all that. All the components are from other models in the Kia and Hyundai Range.
In summary, the Kia Soul EV was deemed an excellent vehicle with good interior and driving experience. The car may require a bit of planning if you need to load a lot into the boot.
