Video Summary

Here is a summary of the YouTube video review:

The Cadillac OPTIQ is smaller than the LYRIQ, nearly 7 inches shorter in length. With the second row seats up, there is 26 cubic feet of cargo space, and 57 cubic feet with the seats folded. The rear door does not open super wide, potentially making car seat installation difficult. Tall adults in the rear seat will find the taller height gives them about an inch more headroom. The Optiq’s front is narrower than the LYRIQ. The quarter windows allow for better visibility. The Optiq has wider tires, up to 275 mm.

Weight distribution is nearly 50/50, but the car's weight is still felt in curves. The passive dampers mitigate roll, dive, and pitch. Ride quality is commendable with the large wheels. The standard power is 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, tuned to deliver power smoothly, not in a neck-snapping fashion.

A potential downside: the lack of phone mirroring options, which means no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For the charging system, the 19.2 kW AC charging upgrade adds 79 miles of range per hour.

The car features double-pane acoustic lamination on all windows. This means limited road noise and wind noise. A standard feature is Super Cruise, which is Cadillac's excellent level two hands-free driving assistant for three years.

Safety features: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Enhanced Auto Emergency Braking.

Premium paint colors range from $625 to $1225. The 19.2 kW AC charging upgrade costs $1580.

There are two trim levels: Luxury and Sport, each with two equipment levels. All versions will qualify for the full $7500 federal EV tax credit.  Even without the tax credit, it might be the right EV for luxury buyers. It has a really good sound system with Dolby Atmos spatial audio. Interior is modern yet elegant and luxurious, and uses recycled materials, such as the fabric on the dashboard and the recycled newspaper in a "wood-looking" trim.

Cadillac prices this car exceptionally well for how well-equipped it is even at the base level.
