Video Summary

The new Jeep Compass debuts first in Europe, signalling Stellantis' focus on growing beyond the US market. The new model features Stellantis' STLA medium platform, also used in Peugeot 3008/5008, Opel Grandland, and Citroën C5 Aircross. The vehicle is now 6.1 inches longer than before, giving it more space. The styling retains a boxy shape, with updated headlights, an eight-slot grille, and X-shaped taillights. The exterior features include contrasting black roof, matrix LED headlights, and a panoramic sunroof. Off-road capability is maintained, with 7.9 inches of ground clearance on four-wheel drive models. Interior enhancements include a 16-inch touchscreen, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and additional legroom and cabin storage space. It also includes climate controls. Multiple powertrains will be offered: a mild hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and three fully electric options. Entry-level mild hybrid offers 145 hp. Plug-in hybrid option has 195 hp. The electric front-wheel-drive model has 213 hp. Top spec dual-motor electric all-wheel drive version makes 375hp and can climb a 20% slope with no front wheel traction. It delivers up to 404 miles of range on the WLTP cycle. A 160 kW DC fast charger provides charging from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes. Diesel engines are officially discontinued. Orders are open in Europe now for the First Edition, with deliveries starting in Q4. It is expected that a US model will be produced in Canada in 2027.
