The updated electric car, now named bZ, is set to go on sale in the second half of 2025, with the Woodland trim arriving in 2026. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date. The car has a larger lithium-ion battery; the all-wheel drive model has a 77 kWh battery providing up to 460 km/286 miles of range. The limited model gets less range due to larger wheels. The front-wheel drive model has a 57.7 kWh battery with up to 378 km/235 miles of range. All-wheel drive models have a 25% range increase over the previous model. Power is increased to 338 combined horsepower for all-wheel drive models, compared to 214 in the outgoing model. Front-wheel drive models have 168 horsepower. The Woodland trim comes standard with all-wheel drive, X-Mode, 375 combined horsepower and up to 418 km/260 miles of range. The car is equipped with the North American Charging Standard port. Under ideal circumstances, charging from 10% to 80% on a DC fast charger takes around 30 minutes. It comes standard with an 11 kW on-board charger, up from 7 kW in the previous model. The car comes with a battery pre-conditioning function and a heat pump system for heating and air conditioning as standard. The bZ receives exterior changes, including an updated front fascia, slimmer LED daytime running lights, and color-matched molding. It has 8.1 inches of ground clearance and is 181 inches long. Standard features include 18-inch wheels, available 20-inch wheels, and multi-LED headlamps. The Woodland trim has 8.3 inches of ground clearance and is 5.5 inches longer than the other trims. There is increased cargo space, and it can tow 3500 pounds. The bZ has a redesigned center console with dual wireless chargers, a 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-way power driver seat, a six-way manual passenger seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, 64-color ambient lighting, a six-speaker audio system, and a power tailgate with kick sensor. Optional features include a panoramic view monitor, soft tech upholstery, ventilated front seats, a front seat foot and leg heater, an eight-way power passenger seat, a fixed panoramic sunroof, a nine-speaker JBL sound system, and heated rear seats. The bZ has 42.1 inches of front row legroom and 35.4 inches of second row legroom, plus 27.7 cubic feet of cargo space.
