Video Summary

Kia revealed two EVs: the EV9 GT model, a high-performance three-row SUV, and an updated EV6 model.

The EV9 GT has up to 501 horsepower with a zero-to-60 time of 4.3 seconds.

The EV9 GT comes standard with e-all-wheel drive.

The EV9 GT has a 122-horsepower increase from the standard EV9 GT model, which has 379 horsepower.

The GT's range has not been announced, but the EV9 can get up to 304 miles of range.

The GT has upgraded brakes, exclusive GT-badged front calipers in neon green, and a driver-selectable, electronically controlled suspension.

Accessed through the drive mode button on the steering wheel, there is a virtual gear shift that provides noticeable shifts and can reduce acceleration when the rev limit is reached.

The paddle shifters can manually shift through gears.

In-cabin electric active sound design works with VSC to replicate the gear shifts.

It comes standard with an electronic limited-slip differential and can tow 5,000 pounds.

The seats are heavily bolstered with Alcantara inserts, and neon-green piping, plus GT badging.

There is a textured dash and Alcantara throughout the cabin, but not much piano black.

It has dual 12.3-inch screens, like the EV9, and the ambient lighting is throughout the cabin.

The EV9 GT and EV6 both have the 800-volt fast charging architecture and the EV9 GT can charge from 10-80% in under 25 minutes with a DC fast charger.

In the first half of 2025, EV9s will come standard with a North American charging standard charge port.

The EV6 rear motor has 225 horsepower, and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the all-wheel drive motor has 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque.

The EV6 GT has 601 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque.

There's a new virtual gear shift feature in the EV6, new headlight designs with sharper creases in the hood, which run into the bumper.

The EV6 has new wheel designs from 19-21 inches. The EV6 is 0.6 inches longer because of the front redesign.

The EV6 has three-dimensional tail lights that go across the back, with wings that extend the back.

The updated EV6 has new lighting features called star map lighting.

The EV6 is made in Georgia and will come to market in the first half of next year, 2025, when pricing will be announced. The EV9 is made in South Korea and it will be arriving in the latter half of 2025.
