The BMW iX2 is a fully electric coupé-style SUV with exuberant styling.It may be more affordable than you expect for a fully electric BMW.
Both versions of the iX2 start under the luxury car tax. This means in Australia, there could be big fringe benefits tax exemptions if you’re planning to lease this electric vehicle.
The entry level version is called the eDrive 20. It is a little more basic, but comes with the M Sport package, 19-inch alloy wheels, M Sport design body kit, and vegan leather trim on the inside.
For a few thousand dollars more, you can get the xDrive 30, which adds dual-motor all-wheel drive with more power and torque, but less EV range. You also get a different level of specification. All versions come with a couple of charging cables.
The Volvo EC40 is a good alternative, with two powertrain options, RWD or AWD.
Another alternative is the BMW iX1, which is fairly close in price, and has more conventional styling. Also the Cupra Tavascan, dual motor or a FWD version, is cheaper with style and impressive interior design.
The iX2 is about 4.5 meters long. In the rear of this SUV, there is plenty of space, it does not have the most coupé-style roof line, but does certainly have the swooped back styling. The boot has capacity 525 litres. It also has tire repair kit.
