Video Summary

The 2025 Polestar 3 is a wagon/SUV closely related to the Volvo EX90. Unlike the Volvo, it's a luxurious two-row SUV that rivals vehicles like the Porsche Cayenne. Only dual motor all-wheel-drive versions will be available at launch. Single-motor versions are coming later.

The trim grade of the test car is Dual Motor Performance with a 107kWh usable battery. The electric driving range is estimated to be 560km (WLTP). A well-optioned model could cost approximately $200,000 AUD.

The interior doesn't feel like jumping up into a typical SUV, because it has car-like proportions. It feels smaller and less truck-like than rivals like the BMW iX and Mercedes EQE. The driving position is sporty. It has roomy rear seats and decent interior storage. A zinc nappa leather interior trim is a very expensive, and the animal welfare leather can contradict the standard vegan one

Charcoal woolen seats are a superior option to the standard vinyl seats. The speaker are from Bowers & Wilkins are top notch.

The Polestar 3 uses a modified version of Volvo's SPA platform shared with gasoline cars. The test car had a 25kWh/100km energy consumption. A 5-year/unlimited km warranty is included. DC Peak speed is 250kW for charging.

Some vibration can occur through the drive line, particularly with larger inputs. The regenerative braking is highly tuned, but it is recommended not to use for best performances. Standard adaptive air suspension and adaptive dampers are included. The car’s e-Sport mode liberates playful dynamics. The rear end steps out predictably while cornering. The Polestar’s steering feel and quality are excellent. There is a sense of connection to the front wheels. An under shoulder-high height of six feet.

The tailgate is power operated. The frunk area has 32L of storage. The back seats fold with a ski hatch.
