Video Summary

The 2025 Skoda Elroq is effectively an electric Karoq but it's a bit larger than a VW ID3. The car starts at just over £32,000, making it a solid entry in the EV market.

Several powertrain and trim level options are available. The entry-level 50 model has 168 horsepower, 8.7 seconds to 60 mph, and around 230 miles of range. The 60 model has 201 horsepower and around 260 miles of range. The 85 model is up to 282 horsepower and 340 miles of range. The VRS model has 335 horsepower with four-wheel drive and 330 miles of range. All models except the VRS are rear-wheel drive.

The entry-level SE model starts under £32,000 and is generously specced with a rear camera, basic cruise control, height-adjustable boot floor, a 5-inch cockpit screen, LED lights, and a 13-inch infotainment display. Adding a transport pack provides netting and pockets in the rear. Winter pack has a heated windscreen and heated rear seats.

The new design language is called "Modern Solid" with a squared-off front end that’s still Skoda. The only giveaway that it is an electric car is the lack of an upper grille.  For those who are scared by a Cupra Born, the styling of this is a safer bet.

Stepping inside the car, it still has the indent for keyless entry but this model doesn’t have it. This can be frustrating since the car has a manual override button. Interior qualities feel a bit higher than equivalent VW group vehicles.

There is no one-pedal drive option, but the steering wheel is quite useful and it is a shame there are no paddles. The suspension and ride quality are really strong and well-rounded. The price point is considered to be good for those that aren’t too focused on performance but like daily use and practicality. There is a large सी-pillar, but blind spot monitors compensate for that. The standard steering feels safe.
