Video Summary

The Peugeot 408, a company car from Motorpoint, has been driven for nearly 2,000 miles since October 2024. It costs £36,000 new, now worth £25,000. This car’s design is not very well-defined; it’s a hatchback that appears like a saloon, jacked up as a small SUV. This is comparable in size to a Skoda Octavia, but it’s not as practical.

The trunk holds 536 liters, which has been sufficient for family and airport trips. The car is spacious enough to carry luggage.

The cabin is nice and posh, and the yellow stitching on the seats stands out. There is Alcantara on the doors. Rear seat space for kids is good.

Niggles: Walking away from the car causes it to automatically lock with an audible beep, which is not changeable. The automatic folding mirrors are not standard. This top spec has a heated steering wheel, which takes a couple of swipes of the touchscreen to activate, however, it does not have heated seats. The layout for Apple CarPlay shortcut icons, on the infotainment screen, is not on the driver's side. The car features a 1.2L 130HP puretech turbocharged, 3-cylinder engine. Because the car has a smaller engine, it lacks acceleration and the fuel economy is only around 40.5 mpg.

The Peugeot 408 is a respectable alternative for similar-sized vehicles, like a Skoda Octavia. The overall rating was assessed as 7.5 out of 10.
