The iX, the i4, and the 3 series do have the rotary dial. - Build quality feels premium with solid feeling plastics. - The previous X1’s key strength was practicality. - The new, bigger X1 provides rear seat space and trunk sizes great for tall adults. The rear seats split fold at a 40/20/40 standard. The X1 has a 540-liter trunk capacity and it has a simple shape with lots of underfloor storage. - There are 5 X1 options at launch: One petrol, two diesels, and two plug-in hybrids. The plug-in hybrids have a claimed range up to 55 miles. They take elements from the iX. - The IX1 has a usable battery capacity of 64.7kW/h, a 270-mile range, and can accept 130kW charging. It can accept 10% to 80% in 29 minutes. - Driving dynamics: iX1 with good ride, the steering is light. - iX1 offers regenerative braking and, by moving the gear selector to the B position, it allows a one-pedal driving function. - The driving experience is fairly ordinary, with the Evoque and the XC40 outperforming the X1 for ride comfort and refinement. - Diesel sounds clattery during acceleration and the petrol engine sounds rough when accelerating hard. - The X1 is priced in line with its rivals. - It is not cheap, but the ix1 is priced in line with its rivals. - Practicality is its best feature.
