New Updated Peugeot e-2008 with More Range!

Uploaded 1 year ago by Nevo EV Review Ireland

Video Summary

The review covers the facelifted second-generation Peugeot e-2008.

The front now features the new Peugeot/Pergout shield. There are new colored and typeface details, and the e-version is identifiable by body-colored vertical lines. The six different color options available in Ireland include one standard color and a white, black, blue, and red. All feature LED lights. The daytime running lights are now in a vertical claw shape rather than the fang from the earlier model. There is no front trunk (frunk).

There are three trim levels: Active, Allure, and GT. The Active trim has 16-inch wheels. The GT, which is reviewed here, has 17-inch alloy wheels. Eighteen-inch wheels are optional. There is also new e-badging, a three-stripe version. There's a two-tone glass-black roof, roof rails, and shark-fin aerial, along with B-pillar.

The model is on standard 7.4kW AC charging, but it is upgradable to 11kW. DC standard is 100kW. There's a 10-80% charge in about 26 minutes.

The e-2008 boot has 438 liters of space with a useable sub-floor and bag storage.

The review model has carbon effect and gloss black trim. Some features are from the broader Stellantis group. Green ambient lighting highlights a small steering wheel that is flat at the top and bottom, which makes it easier to see the dashboard display. A 3D display is available on the GT. The car has a new start/stop button and a single-zone climate control. It has USB-A and USB-C ports, and the GT has a wireless charging pad.

The car is based on the Stellantis platform, as are the E-Mokka, Jeep Avenger, and Citroen EC4.

The back seats are comfortable; however, legroom can be a bit tight.

Overall, the vehicle is a pleasant smaller SUV offering great potential for day-to-day use. It has had some improvements and offers more range and efficiency, but doesn't feature a new electric platform.

In Ireland, the active trim starts at 35,600 EUR and the GT starts at 40,230 EUR, making the e-version quite competitive.
