The new Vauxhall Grandland is a large family crossover. The car has gone electric, but hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are also available. The EV has a claimed range of up to 435 miles, which is more than other long-range vehicles in its class. The cabin design is neat and techy. There are still buttons for the main functions and a driver display that has a 10-inch non-uniform screen. Driver air vents are on the door, close to the face. The seats are comfortable and certified by AGR, with a gap in the middle designed to relieve pressure off the tailbone. The adaptive bolsters tighten when going fast, plus there’s a massage function.
The electric model is built on the Stellantis medium-sized smart platform, which can take a battery of up to 98 kWh. Also available are hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. Expect around 35K for the hybrid and up to 45K for the electric version.
