Video Summary

The new Vauxhall Grandland is a large family crossover. The car has gone electric, but hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are also available. The EV has a claimed range of up to 435 miles, which is more than other long-range vehicles in its class. The Visor grill is standard and includes an LED lighting strip and an illuminated Vauxhall badge. Headlamps feature 51,000 pixels in the LEDs. The side profile is sleek, with shark fin C-pillars and a contrasting roof. Wheel options include 19- or 20-inch wheels. The Grandland has frequency-selective damping to smooth the ride. It’s 17 cm longer than the outgoing Grandland, increasing legroom and boot space. The boot has a 550-liter capacity with a twin floor and hooks.

The focus is on flexibility for families. It is significantly bigger and more accommodating than the Mokka and new Frontera. The Pixel Box helps to avoid forgetting your phone. In addition to two USB ports and a phone charging tray, it doubles as a phone or iPad ledge.

The cabin design is neat and techy. There are still buttons for the main functions and a driver display that has a 10-inch non-uniform screen. Driver air vents are on the door, close to the face. The seats are comfortable and certified by AGR, with a gap in the middle designed to relieve pressure off the tailbone. The adaptive bolsters tighten when going fast, plus there’s a massage function.
The electric model is built on the Stellantis medium-sized smart platform, which can take a battery of up to 98 kWh. Also available are hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. Expect around 35K for the hybrid and up to 45K for the electric version.
