Video Summary

The Nio ET7 is a big, luxurious sedan designed in Munich and with its software written in California; it's manufactured in China. It's a multinational car attempting something new in the market.

It is 5.1 meters in length, with a 3.1-meter wheel base.

It's a heavy car weighing 2.4 tons.

Two battery packs are available: 75 kWh and 100 kWh with a WLTPrange of 580 km.

It has a very low drag coefficient of 0.21.

It delivers 653 horsepower and 850 Newton meters of torque and does 0 to 100 in 3.8 seconds.

It includes an AI robot NOMI to control the car's features.

It can also be used to control seat heating, massage, adjust the cabin temperature, give trip and range information, and take selfies.

The trunk capacity is only 363 liters, but the car comes standard with a tow hitch with a 2000-kilogram tow capacity.

Charging: DC is 140-kilowatts, and AC is 11-kilowatts. Nio favors battery swapping over fast charging. You go to a swap station to replace an empty battery with a full one. At least, that's the plan! Currently, this takes up to 9 min.

The interior is luxurious and feels like a rolling lounge with a lot of matte materials. Not much is shiny in the interior. There is a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch OLED media screen.

The interior door buttons are well-placed. The central armrest could use more cushion.

It has ventilated seats, massage seats and seat heating on all four positions.

It also has frame-less, soft-closing, double-paned acoustic windows, and active noise cancellation for a comfortable drive.

There are drive modes: comfort, eco, sport, sport plus, and custom. In the Custom mode, one can adjust suspension and steering.

The base version of the ET7 is available at €70000 with a 75kWh battery leasing. This particular model with all equipment, as well as a 100 kWh battery pack, is available at around €91000.
The back seats aren't designed well enough for good thigh support.
The car does not use one-pedal driving mode.

The eco steering is soft, and it feels like there is a delay while steering.

Overall, this car leans towards comfort.
