Video Summary
The Opel Mokka has been facelifted, looks better, and has a new infotainment system. It is now cheaper. This is a driving report of the hybrid version. The reviewer is impressed by its fuel consumption. They will discuss the price and categorise the car. A colibri blue Mokka is a reference to their cooperation partner, GoLeasy. It offers price comparison of leasing contracts between established operators. The car is based on the CMP or eCMP platform, also used for Citroen eC3, C3 Aircross, DS3, Fiat 600, Jeep Avenger or Alfa Romeo Junior (not Milano). The car is built in Poissy, France. 300,000 models have been sold since 2012. The Mokka comes as a regular petrol car, hybrid or as a full electric. The electric is the most expensive version. The Opel Corsa SUV or Mokka is located between Corsa (4.06 meter) and Frontera (4.39 meter) in terms of car size. The Mokka is 4.15 meter long, 1.79 wide and 1.53 tall. The wheelbase is 2.56m. Equipment levels are the Edition and GS line. There are 6 colour options. Artik White is free of charge. This review car features colibri blue, a colour which costs 650 Euros. All GS models have a black roof. As an option, for 500 Euros, there is a black bonnet available. The Visor, the front design element, was first used for the Mokka. It was its most progressive design. The car also features new lights. Standard is full LED, optional is Intelly Lux with matrix LEDs as a bundle in the technology package. The rear lights are drawn out to the inside of the tail gate. A rain sensor is included. The rear side windows are tinted. To the outside there is just the normal hook door handle. Inside there are textile seats. A Snapdragon infotainment platform is featured with 10 inches of screen size. Underneath, the dash is clean and has only a few haptic buttons. An inductive charging station is included. No piano style is present in the center console, but instead a drive mode button. A double floor in the trunk, as well as back rest split folding on a 1/3 to 2/3 ratio are part of the car. Also optional are vegan leather seats available in the Renew Kit. The car has front drive, with the hybrid having 136 horsepower and a 28 hp electric motor. The combustion engine version makes 136hp with a manual gearbox, or 130 with an automatic. It speeds up to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. Fuel consumption is at 4.9 litres. With 4.4 litres the consumption is very good. 11.08 meter turning circle. Overall the reviewers finds the car to be good. The suspension is comfortable. The steering is precise. Overall it is more versatile and agile than the Corsa. It has a high seating position with a good all around visibility. Good for the city.
The test car does not come with a glass roof. The boot contains a removable floor, and the car can be fitted with a tow-bar (without the electric version). One negative is that the crash test results were only average.
