Video Summary

The Polestar 2 has an absolutely beautiful design and is a great driver's car, fully electric, and all-wheel drive. It has about 400 horsepower. The tested model is the Long Range Dual Motor version with 300 kW of power. The car has a 78-kWh battery with 75-kWh usable, targeting a 450-480 km WLTP range. In 5-7-degree Celsius winter weather, on a motorway at speed, the realistic range is less than the WLTP estimate. The majority of the drive was on motorways.

The Polestar was incredibly solid on that motorway journey. It was 165 km to get down to the destination. Leaving home on 46% of the battery, it had a range of 180 km. Based on the calculated information from google maps the range is projected to be 0%. It was 20.8 kWh per 100km, on the way in with traffic and weather not as dry but with the weather getting better coming home, he could take some KM off. Adaptive cruise control is missing. The Polestar handles the motorway really well and feels so solid on the road. It has plenty of power to merge lanes. The car was handled well on the backroads.
