The new software version 4.2.1 fixes the terrible ADAS functionality that the Polestar had previously. It’s not perfect, but it’s a lot better, and it’s considered good enough.With the old software, phantom braking occurred when passing trucks in the left lane, but that issue is completely fixed.
When changing lanes with ADAS, the snap of re-engagement is no longer an issue.
When the driver corrects the car in the lane, it still disengages, but the system doesn’t “bing and bong” every time. That audible warning every time the system engages and disengages like with a Tesla, is now gone.
The current biggest issue is still a small delay from activation or speeding up with the cruise control.
One pedal drive is tethered to the top button on the d-pad.
Road noise is relatively quiet.
This car does not have double pane glass, which is needed to substantially reduce road noise.
This car, without double pane glass, ranks as the third quietest car tested.
At a campaign price, if you remove the Nappa Leather interior, this car is priced close to a similar spec'ed Model Y LR AWD.
