The car does not have pixel LED headlamps, fog lamps, 360-degree cameras, or Harmon Kardon sound system. The safety features include Front and rear collision, hill descent control, hill start assist, lane keeping, blind spot alert and seven airbags.
The XC40 Recharge single-motor uses a smaller 69 kWh battery pack. With the power from this pack, it has 238PS and 420Nm, but it does not feel inadequate. That WLTP range has not seen a especially big drop from its dual-motor sibling, and has a rated 475km range. The test saw a range of 350km at 81% charge. One can achieve 400km on a full charge with regular driving.
Charging speeds are also good though not the best in the segment. Volvo priced at 54.95 Lakh; the XC40 Recharge is only 2.95 Lakh less than its all-wheel-drive counterpart, The reviewer considers this to be a narrow gap. It feels lighter, nimbler, and has a sense of heft, compared to the Dual-Motor version.
